Vintage Cellar Review (Wine Spectator): Fresh and polished, offering walnut-accented blackberry flavours on a medium-weight frame. Shows juicy acidity on the finish. Drink now through 2017.
My Review: This wine was interesting to me because color, although red, seemed more brownish than most I've seen previously. The aroma was also interesting because it didn't seem to have too distinct of a smell about it. I had a hard time getting a distinct feel for the specifics of the nose but there seemed to be slight fruity aromas evident. The taste was quite dry, but not nearly as dry as some reds tasted previously. It was easier to drink than the one before it (Stump Jump) and considerably fruity-mostly berries. While more enjoyable than some, I probably would not pick this wine over others in the future.
