Vintage Cellar Review: Opens with blackberry aromas, earth and spice notes. There's a shock of core acidity to the palate that keeps the wine fresh and balanced. The palate is full but has energy, and the flavors of boysenberry, blueberry and chocolate come in a big, pounding wave. Finishes rich and jammy, with good freshness.
My Review: This red wine smelled sweeter than most. It is noteworthy to add that this particular red is estate grown and also very red in color. The taste was much less dry than the reds I'm used to tasting in that it had a more moist flavor about it. I would consider this to be one of the better reds that I have tasted up until this point, but I still wasn't crazy about it.
